Sprint 1

User Interface design

Learn about UI design principles, best practices, and the fundamentals of layout, color theory, typography, composition, and hierarchy. Hands-on practice in the design tool Figma, how to create user interfaces and develop skills to build interactive prototypes and conduct user testing. You will also learn how to create responsive and inclusive designs, user flows and how to add AI tools to your work.

Sprint 2

Accessibility in UI design

Learn the main principles and practices of accessible and inclusive design. You'll gain the knowledge to apply various tools and techniques to meet accessibility standards. Additionally, you'll understand how to prioritize accessibility and implement these standards in all design projects, ensuring the creation of inclusive digital products.

Sprint 3

Optimizing UI design within organizations

Learn how to develop and apply design systems to streamline the design process. You'll explore common metrics for digital services and how to use these metrics to inform design decisions. You'll also learn how to prepare design handoffs to developers using Figma. You'll also learn how to justify your design decisions, ensuring they align with the company's overall goals.

Vaida Pakulyte

Stockholm based UX designer with a strong academic background in Interaction design and human-computer interaction. She has worked with UX design at companies such as Happy Socks, Columbus and Electrolux with over 8+ years experience in the industry.

Nastya Kudruk

Digital marketing consultant based in Athens with 6+ years of experience in SaaS, fintech and edtech. She specializes in traffic acquisition and has created and executed lead generation and growth strategies for tech startups and corporations. She currently works as a Performance Marketer at Technigo and teaches data analysis and data tools.

Hanna Pettersson

Stockholm-based marketer, visual designer and founder of Technigo. Hanna has more than 10 years of experience in design. She has worked for companies like Spotify, King, Rebel and Bird, and Uptrail.

FAQ

How much time will the course take?

2x 90 min scheduled time + self-studies.

How do I prepare for the course?

You will get a small package of things to install and read up on before the course start so that we can hit the ground running when meeting for the first time.

If I can't make it to some sessions, can I watch that afterwards?

Yes, all sessions are recorded. But since much of the work will be workshop style, it's hard to fully join in by watching it afterwards. If you miss it, you have to do the exercises from the lesson by yourself to account for that lesson towards passing the course.
