The application consists of a coding part and a written part. We don't want you to jump head-over-heels into a new career in programming if you have never tested coding before.
If you haven't already, start by signing up and completing our free Two-hour Code Workshop. The workshop is for anyone that wants to test out coding for the first time. It's fully online and you can start at any time.
When you are done, don't forget to request the certificate.
Now that you’ve tried out coding by participating in our workshop, we want to make the page really be YOUR OWN! You can continue working on the CodePen you already started in the workshop. Do the following:
Change all information to be information about you, your hobby, or your pet. Feel free to add whatever content that you want. You will not be judged on the topic you choose. Include at least the following information:
Make sure to choose HTML elements that make sense for your content. Writing semantic HTML makes it easier for both the browser and the developer to know what the meaning of the element is. Maybe your top three should be displayed in an ordered or unordered list element?
Style your page however you like - be bold and go gravy! We’re not expecting a masterpiece here, the important thing is that you have fun doing it. What we do expect of you is that you make this page personal. Do something fun with CSS, maybe a hover effect or a background gradient?
You submit the application with a link to your CodePen (don't forget to save!) together with your reflections in the application form.
Good luck! And don't hesitate to reach out if you have any problems on email@example.com.
We can't wait to teach you more!
