Financing your studies with CSN

Finance tuition fee

This is a paid program for all students. To finance the tuition fee, applying for an additional cost loan (merkostnadslån) from CSN is possible. This can cover all or most of the tuition cost. Again, you must contact CSN to confirm your personal eligibility for an additional cost loan. Read more.

Be aware that when accepting your seat, you accept our payment terms. So make sure you have your financing set up beforehand, whether this is by CSN, another loan provider, or by another means.

For example, from experience we know that most students will get their first CSN payment once the course starts – which means that you need to be able to front the funds for the first 20% by yourself before you get money from CSN.

CSN grant and student loans

The JavaScript Development Bootcamp allows you to access monthly CSN grants and student loans during the course as a part of Swedish Yrkeshögskolan.

If you intend to apply for student aid, you must contact CSN to confirm your personal eligibility for student aid.

You can apply for student aid even before your application is approved.

Omställningsstudiestöd (Sweden only)

If you are between 27-62 years old and have worked a longer time of period, the JavaScript Developer Program might allow you to apply for omställningsstudiestöd depending on what industry you are currently working in. Omställningsstudiestöd might grant you up to 80% of your current salary during your studies. Read more.

It’s important that you contact CSN to see if you are eligible.

Trygghetsfonder (Sweden only)

Some of our previous students have received financial help with their bootcamp fees through the Swedish Trygghetsråd. This is specifically aid for those who have been laid off from work, but they are also supporting people who want to change careers (omställning).

Contact them to see what your options are depending on which one your workplace is connected to. They also offer something omställningsstudiestöd – which is only for CSN approved educations which our bootcamps are not. However, they also have funds to help people paying tuition fees beyond the omställningsstöd which many of our previous students have got approved.

Trygghetsrådet – People working in the private sector (tjänstemän).

Trygghetsfonden – People working in the private sector (arbetare).

Trygghetsstiftelsen – People working for the state.

Omställningsfonden – People working in the public sector.
