About us
Some stories begin with an idea. Ours began with frustration.
In 2015, Hanna Pettersson and Sandra Hindskog—two women deeply engaged in tech and digital product development—kept running into the same problem. They had ambitious ideas but often found themselves dependent on developers to bring them to life.
When they searched for coding education that felt approachable, hands-on, and engaging, they couldn’t find it.The tech industry, with its jargon-heavy approach and exclusive culture, made it seem more complex than it actually was. They didn’t fit the stereotype of what a ‘typical’ developer looked like, and they knew they weren’t alone.
Instead of waiting for a solution, they built one.
They launched Tjejer Kodar, a grassroots initiative aimed at making coding accessible to women in Sweden. What started as a small experiment quickly turned into a movement—thousands of women signed up, eager to learn, collaborate, and enter the tech industry on their own terms. But they soon realised the need for practical, career-focused tech education extended far beyond Sweden. So, they built something bigger.
Technigo was founded with a clear purpose: to give people the skills, confidence, and support they need to launch careers in tech. We don’t believe in unnecessary gatekeeping, outdated learning models, or theory-heavy education. Instead, we focus on hands-on learning, real-world projects, and a strong community of peers and mentors.Since launching, thousands of learners from around the world have upskilled and switched careers through Technigo. From beginners to career changers, our graduates have gone on to work at leading companies and build their own tech-driven projects.
We don’t just teach skills. We challenge norms.
Tech should be accessible to all. Learning to code or design shouldn’t feel intimidating. Our courses are built to be hands-on, engaging, and welcoming to everyone.
Education should be practical. We focus on real projects, industry collaboration, and direct pathways into tech jobs.
Community is everything. We don’t just provide courses—we create networks of learners, alumni, and mentors who support and uplift each other.
If you’ve ever thought, tech isn’t for me—we’re here to prove you wrong. If you’re ready to build something new, challenge yourself, and be part of a future where tech belongs to everyone, Technigo is your place.
The industry is changing. Let’s change it together.
