What will I learn?

How do we know what problem to solve? How can we see if the direction we are going in is the right one? The answer is user research! User research helps us connect design to the people that will use the products and services we create. In this session, you will learn tools and methods to uncover people’s goals, needs, and motivations. You will also see examples of real case studies of how research can be applied throughout the design process and the value and insights you can get from it.

About Johanna

Johanna is a UX designer at the global design agency Designit. She has experience in several startups and scale-ups and loves working at the intersection of design, business, and social impact. Coming from a business background, Johanna was unsure if UX design was something for her. But after discovering the vast variety of work a designer does: from research to workshop facilitation to UI design, she knew she found the right track. Johanna is especially interested in ethical design and how to make tech more humane.
